Seven people were injured in a collision between a passenger car and a pickup truck on O'Malley Road in Anchorage on January 2, 2014. Passengers and drivers of both vehicles sustained injuries.
Alaskan roads are dangerous, especially during the winter. Always fasten seatbelts to protect yourself and those you love.
Regardless of which vehicle was at fault, the passengers in both vehicles are entitled to compensation for their medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other losses. The innocent victims should be able to obtain compensation through insurance policies for both vehicles through liability (BI), for medical payments (Med Pay), and for underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) coverage. If needed, there may be additional applicable insurance coverage through policies of family members and insurance covering other vehicles in the household.
