Douglas Johnson did not follow a traditional path to becoming an Alaska personal injury attorney. Instead, he built his career through real-world experience and a commitment to helping others. Today, he considers himself a practical, hardworking advocate who practices law to support his family and serve injured clients across Alaska.

Before law school, Mr. Johnson worked in farming, timber, and construction. He grew up on a small farm in eastern Oregon, where he learned the value of hard work, accountability, and integrity. As a result, those principles continue to shape his personal injury and wrongful death practice.

In many jobs, he was the youngest and newest worker. Therefore, he quickly learned the importance of standing up for what is right. That mindset now drives his approach to litigation and client advocacy.

Later, while serving as a volunteer missionary in South America, he witnessed how individuals without legal representation were often taken advantage of by corporations and governments. Consequently, this experience strengthened his commitment to fighting for those who cannot fight alone.

Finally, his time living and working in rural Alaska reinforced these lessons. He saw firsthand how both rural and road system communities can face similar challenges when dealing with powerful entities.
