Fatal Hit-and-Run In Anchorage

Police are investigating the hit-and-run which left a man dead Sunday night in Mountain View. The incident was reported to APD at 10:30 P.M.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has yet to be identified.

APD is attempting to track down any surveillance video that might show what happened.

Many people do not realize all the insurance that is potentially available in a pedestrian v. motor vehicle accident. The injured pedestrian is not necessarily limited to compensation through the at-fault driver’s insurance; there is also the potential for compensation through the pedestrian’s own uninsured/underinsured coverages. The amounts available through these different coverages combine – or “stack” in order for the injured person – or the family of the deceased person – to be compensated.
