Search for Two Missing Crew Off Vessel Exito Suspended
On Tuesday, December 8, 2016, USCG received a call at 9:38 p.m. from the owner of the vessel Exito and reported the vessel was sinking and his crew was preparing to abandon the ship. Three of the five mariners were rescued by good Samaritans of the F/V Commitment. The Coast Guard sent out their MH-65 Dolphin helicopter on Wednesday and Thursday in search for the two missing crew members; but sadly they now have suspended the search. Again we wish the three surviving crew members that a speedy recovery, and send our thoughts and prayers to the families and love ones of the two missing crew.
